Its cold and windy here in the northern part of the UK, but that didn’t stop Ed and I having a fun day out of good adventure walking cross the Humber Bridge.

The Humber Bridge is the fifth largest single span suspension bridge in the world, near Kingston upon Hull. It spans the Humber Estuary, between Barton-upon Humber on the south bank and Hessle on the north bank. Connecting East Riding and Lincolnshire together.

I can remember in June 1981 watching the H.M Queen formally opening the Humber Bridge. It was very exciting as the bridge opened up both socially and econmically two previous remote and insular areas of England.
